
Pinot Noir
Pinot noir is one of the most refined and the most perfect vine varieties in the world. The soil in Valais is perfect for its cultivation. It can be either light and refined or warm and full-bodied. It was first mentioned in Valais in the middle of the 19th Century when it went by the name of Petite Dôle. It is now the red vine variety which is the mostwidely planted in Valais.
