Vintage 2015

A sunny vintage, with high sugar levels: 2015 was characterised by a hot summer and a fine autumn.
Bud-break began in mid-April, albeit very slightly late. After a particularly wet month of May, flowering took place at the beginning of June, in hot, humid conditions. The dry, hot weather that prevailed during the summer greatly limited the development of disease, contributing to the development of healthy foliage. The drought in July allowed a moderate level of water stress to set in, which was much sought-after during the grape ripening phase. The rapid build-up of sugars meant that the harvest could start early, and the sunny, dry weather helped. After a 2014 vintage that was very demanding in terms of sorting, this year's winemakers were delighted with the excellent quality of the grapes.
