Vintage 2014

Another very modest harvest, even though the Valais produced slightly more than in 2013. But it was the now-famous Suzuki drosophila that was the sad star of the 2014 vintage, sometimes requiring winegrowers to sort the grapes severely at harvest time.
But 2014 was already marked by a capricious summer, requiring constant attention to combat the development of diseases such as powdery mildew effectively, and to ensure a quality harvest. Once again, the weather conditions in September and October were fortunately optimal for the ripening of the grapes, favouring a good accumulation of sugars. The cool nights preserved all the aromatic potential of the grapes.
