Vintage 2011

Temperatures well above normal and a significant water deficit characterised the 2011 growing season. A long period of sunshine and dry weather enabled flowering and berry formation to proceed optimally in all parts of the vineyard. After a cooler, wetter July, a spell of foehn wind at the end of August accelerated the concentration of sugars in certain grape varieties, such as our Pinot Noirs, particularly in the early-ripening areas. Most of the harvest, of impeccable quality, took place in sunny September.
The result was above-average quantities, well-balanced polls and grapes of excellent health.
