Vintage 2010

Low in quantity, but fine in terms of health and ripeness: that's the 2010 vintage in a nutshell.
The climate showed sudden and significant variations throughout the growing season. After a month of April marked by drought and very high temperatures, a cool spell set in during the first half of May. In fact, this month saw three times more rainfall than the 30-year norm. A second wave of cool weather arrived in mid-June, when the mid-slope vines were in full flower. The end of the summer was characterised by normal temperatures. The mild conditions in September and October once again enabled the harvest to be healthy and at optimum ripeness. The only downside, as has already been mentioned, was the rather low quantities, comparable to 2007.
