2006

After a wet August, the special microclimate of the Rhône Valley once again enabled the canton's winegrowers to harvest in excellent conditions. The harvest took place in generally dry weather, with long periods of föhn, which quickly dried the few drops of rain that fell during this period. As a result, the harvest escaped grey rot, which was merciless in neighbouring cantons. The ripeness, quality and plant health of the grapes point to a remarkable vintage. The quantity of grapes harvested was around average, and the sugar content was high.
